Viral 'McMigraine' remedy has some rushing to McDonald's for headache relief

Some McDonald’s customers on TikTok claim that a certain food and drink combination from the fast-food restaurant can get rid of their migraines — though doctors are quick to share other headache remedies.

A migraine is a headache that can cause “severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head,” according to the Mayo Clinic.

Common effects include nausea, vomiting and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. The attacks can last for hours or even days, interfering with daily activities, the same source noted.

MCDONALD’S SECRET DRINK ITEM WITH ‘COTTON CANDY FLAVOR’ GOES VIRAL

Taking a trip through the McDonald’s drive-thru might help, some customers claim.

One viral video – which has over three million views and counting – shows a woman sitting in her car in a McDonald’s drive-thru, sipping a soda and eating fries. The text said she’s doing this “because I’ve had a headache for 48 hours and TikTok said it would help.”

Other videos suggest a large Coca-Cola drink and an order of large fries – “lovingly called the McMigraine,” Dr. Brintha Vasagar told Fox News Digital – can make the pain go away.

“There is some science [as] to why it works,” noted the Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based family medical physician.

The caffeine and the carbonation in Coca-Cola are two of the reasons, according to Vasagar.

“If you think about most over-the-counter migraine treatments, the medications themselves can contain a dose of caffeine,” she said.

MCDONALD’S CHEF REVEALS WHY COFFEE FROM FAST-FOOD GIANT TASTES SO GOOD

The caffeine constricts or narrows the blood vessels, which can provide migraine relief for some people, the doctor added.

The carbonation can help settle the stomach for those who experience nausea with their headaches.

When it comes to the salty fries, the sodium can help correct electrolyte balance and dehydration — “which can be triggers,” Vasagar said.

The carbohydrates in the fries can also help settle the stomach, she added.

Another element, Vasagar said, is the “psychological benefit of comfort food.”

FAST-FOOD MENU ITEMS THAT CHEFS LIKE TO EAT

“For many of us, fast food, McDonald’s, it’s that nostalgia. It’s that feeling of, ‘This is going to be comforting and make me feel better.'”

One person on TikTok wrote, “I work in neurology and our headache specialist literally recommends this to patients.”

Another person wrote that only Coca-Cola is effective, not Diet Coke. Others agreed with that.

“There is no scientific reason that one Coke over another should be beneficial for migraine treatment,” Vasagar clarified.

“I really think that piece plays into the psychological part of it — what feels comforting to people when [they’re] feeling ill.”

This viral food hack isn’t a cure, the doctor pointed out.

“This isn’t a prevention measure,” Vasagar said. “It’s not like you can do the ‘McMigraine’ every day and never get a migraine again. That’s just not the way it works.”

Also, drinking a large Coke and eating a bunch of fries could make matters worse for some.

“Triggers for migraines vary from person to person,” Vasagar warned. “So, this combination for some people will make their migraines worse.”

Dr. Tania Elliott, a New York-based physician who specializes in allergies and internal medicine, told Fox News Digital that a better quick-fix solution is to stay hydrated.

“Consider having a little bit of caffeine, maybe in the form of matcha or green tea,” and keep your electrolytes up, she suggested.

“You’re getting the benefits of addressing the potential underlying issues of dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, but you’re not having the increased risks and unhealthy contributors from eating French fries and a Diet Coke,” Elliott added.

A retired four-star admiral who once served as the Navy’s second-highest ranking officer, was convicted of bribery and other conspiracy charges, making him the most senior member of the U.S. military ever convicted of committing a federal crime while on active duty.

Following a five-day trial, retired four-star Adm. Robert P. Burke, 62, was found guilty on Monday of a scheme to direct lucrative contracts to a training company in exchange for a $500,000-a-year job after leaving the Navy, according to a news release from the Department of Justice.

Burke is facing up to 30 years in prison for his role in the scheme to direct contracts potentially worth millions of dollars to a New York City-based company that offered training programs to the Navy.

“When you abuse your position and betray the public trust to line your own pockets, it undermines the confidence in the government you represent,” U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro wrote in a post on X following the conviction.

RETIRED NAVY ADMIRAL CHARGED WITH BRIBERY FOR ALLEGEDLY OFFERING GOVERNMENT CONTRACT IN EXCHANGE FOR JOB

“Our office, with our law enforcement partners, will root out corruption – be it bribes or illegal contracts – and hold accountable the perpetrators, no matter what title or rank they hold,” Pirro continued.

Burke, who served as vice chief of naval operations, was once the Navy’s second-highest ranking officer.

According to court documents and as the evidence proved at trial, from 2020 to 2022, Burke was a four-star admiral who oversaw U.S. naval operations in Europe, Russia, and most of Africa, and commanded thousands of civilian and military personnel.

Yongchul “Charlie” Kim and Meghan Messenger, co-CEOs of a company not named by the DOJ, allegedly participated in the scheme to get a government contract in exchange for offering Burke a position with the company.

The company provided a training program for a small part of the Navy from 2018 and 2019, before their contract was terminated.

FORMER US ARMY INTELLIGENCE ANALYST SENTENCED FOR SELLING SENSITIVE DOCUMENTS TO CHINESE NATIONAL

The company was told by the Navy not to contact Burke, but the three met in Washington, D.C., in July 2021 and Burke allegedly agreed to use his influence to get the company a sole-source contract and urge other Naval officers to use the company for a more widespread training program that Kim estimated would be worth “triple digit millions.”

In December 2021, Burke allegedly ordered his staff to award the company a $355,000 contract to train Naval personnel under his command in Italy and Spain and made an unsuccessful attempt to convince a senior Naval commander to give them another contract.

“There was no connection between this contract and his employment. The math just doesn’t make sense that he would give them this relatively small contract for that type of job offer,” Burke’s defense attorney, Timothy Parlatore, previously told Fox News Digital.

Burke allegedly implied that he had no role in awarding the contract, and that his discussions with Kim and Messenger didn’t start until after the contract started.

‘FAT LEONARD’ MASTERMIND BEHIND LARGEST CORRUPTION SCANDAL IN US MILITARY HISTORY SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS

Both Kim and Messenger were arrested in May 2024 and were charged with conspiracy to commit bribery and bribery and could face 20 years in prison.

Parlatore told Fox News Digital that they are “obviously disappointed by the verdict,” but said “this is a result of the fact that the jury did not get to hear the whole story.”

“The investigation was very poorly conducted. It was conducted by the exact same investigator who completely screwed up the Fat Leonard case,” Paralore said.

“They didn’t do any research and so you have an incompetent and unethical, corrupt investigator relying upon the word of a known liar, building this terrible case. And ultimately, the only way that they could bring it to a conviction was to only present certain evidence to the jury,” Paralore continued.

Fox News Digital reached out to the DOJ for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.

Following his phone calls with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine, President Donald Trump appeared confident that peace talks between the two warring nations will soon be progressing.

In response to a reporter’s question outside the White House on Monday, Trump said that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is genuine in his seeking a peace deal.

“President Trump, do you think Vladimir Putin wants peace?” the reporter shouted across the lawn.

Trump stopped and responded: “I do. Yes.”

“Do you still trust Putin?” the reporter continued, to which Trump responded: “I do.”

TRUMP SAYS PUTIN IS ‘TIRED’ OF RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR

Speaking later that same day, after an event honoring fallen law enforcement officers in the White House, Trump said that he believes Putin has “had enough” of the war.

“I think he’s had enough. I think he’s had enough. It’s been a long time. This has been going on for more than three years. When you think, it’s been going on for a long time,” said the president.

Meanwhile, Trump seemed less confident in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Asked whether Zelenskyy is doing enough to help the peace talks process along, Trump responded: “I’d rather tell you in about two weeks from now, because I can’t say yes or no.”

“Look, he’s a strong person, Zelenskyy, a strong guy, and he’s not the easiest person to deal with,” said Trump. “But I think that he wants to stop, and it’s a very bad thing that’s happening over there. I think he wants to stop. But I could answer that question better in two weeks or four weeks from now. I hope the answer is that he wants to get it solved.”

RUSSIA BOMBARDS UKRAINE WITH DRONES HOURS AFTER TRUMP ANNOUNCES TALKS WITH PUTIN

Trump also commented on newly inaugurated Pope Leo XIV, saying he would like to help facilitate peace between the two nations. Trump said that it would be “great” to have the peace talks at the Vatican.

“There’s tremendous bitterness, anger, and I think maybe that could help some of that anger,” said Trump.

Trump and Putin held a two-hour call on Monday in what the U.S. said was a push to get Russia to end its deadly war in Ukraine.

Both Trump and Putin described the call in a positive light, with the Kremlin chief saying it was “frank” and “useful,” but it is not immediately clear what results were achieved.

Trump took to social media to praise the call as having gone “very well” and said, “Russia and Ukraine will immediately start negotiations toward a Ceasefire and, more importantly, an END to the War.”

RUBIO TEASES DETAILS OF POTENTIAL TRUMP, PUTIN IN-PERSON MEETING AFTER RUSSIA-UKRAINE CEASEFIRE TALKS STALL

“The conditions for that will be negotiated between the two parties, as it can only be, because they know details of a negotiation that nobody else would be aware of,” he added.

Putin, in a statement after the call, also noted that “a ceasefire with Ukraine is possible” but “Russia and Ukraine must find compromises that suit both sides.”

Any concrete details on the nature of these compromises remain unclear, despite negotiation attempts in Turkey on Friday, which Trump suggested failed because he needed to negotiate with Putin first.

In the lead up to the talks, Trump also spoke with Zelenskyy, along with other world leaders like U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, who said they discussed the urgent need for Putin to agree to an unconditional ceasefire or face serious repercussions, including more sanctions.

Caitlin Clark addressed the WNBA’s investigation into alleged “hateful comments” toward Angel Reese during a shootaround on Monday as the Indiana Fever prepare for the Atlanta Dream.

The WNBA launched its investigation on Sunday as the league condemned “racism, hate and discrimination in all forms.” There were no specifics detailed about the alleged incident.

“There’s no place for that in our game,” Clark told reporters, via the Indy Star. “There’s no place for that in society. Certainly we want every person that comes into our arena, whether player, whether fan, to have a great experience.

“I appreciate the league doing that. The Fever organization has been at the forefront of that since, really, day one, what they’re doing. Hopefully the investigation — we’ll leave that up to them to find anything and take the proper action if so.”

Pacers Sports & Entertainment CEO Mel Raines issued a statement on the matter.

“We are aware of the allegations of inappropriate fan conduct during yesterday’s game and we are working closely with the WNBA to complete their investigation,” Raines said. “We stand firm in our commitment to providing a safe environment for all WNBA players.”

ESPN STAR SUGGESTS CAITLIN CLARK-ANGEL REESE INCIDENT BECAME TALKING POINT FOR MORE THAN RACIAL REASONS

The Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) also released a statement, calling “such behavior unacceptable.”

“The WNBPA is aware of reports of hateful comments at yesterday’s game in Indianapolis and supports the WNBA’s current investigation into this matter,” the union said. “Such behavior is unacceptable for our sport.

“Under the WNBA’s ‘No Space for Hate’ policy, we trust the league to thoroughly investigate and take swift, appropriate action to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all.”

The WNBA launched its “No Space for Hate” campaign before the 2025 season tipped off. The campaign will include the use of AI social media monitoring tools that will help the league enforce a revised code of conduct.

“As part of the comprehensive plan, the WNBA is rolling out an AI-powered technology solution to monitor social media activity, in partnership with players and teams, to help protect the community from online hate speech and harassment,” it said.

A revised WNBA fan code of conduct includes regulations for fans on social media, and threats of sanctioning those fans from official content if they are violated. The new policy lists racist, homophobic, sexist, sexual, threatening or libelous content as “subject to blocking or deletion.”

“Repeat violations of these guidelines may result in the violator no longer being able to follow our news, comment on our posts or send us messages,” the policy reads. “Additionally, any direct threats to players, referees or other league and team personnel may be referred to law enforcement and may result in the violator being banned from all WNBA arenas and events.”

Brittany Furlan is speaking out about her rumored split from Mötley Crüe rocker Tommy Lee.

On Saturday, the comedian took to TikTok to release a lengthy video claiming she was catfished online by someone impersonating Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke. Her video came after TMZ reported that Furlan and Lee, 62, had been living separately.

She also accused the real Radke, 41, of going public with the drama after Lee accused him of sleeping with her.

TOMMY LEE’S DOG ATTACKED BY COYOTE BEFORE BEING RESCUED BY WIFE BRITTANY FURLAN

People magazine reported the video also came after Radke alleged, in a series of Instagram Stories posts, that the comedian was catfished by someone pretending to be him and Lee, 62, threatened him over the situation.

“Obviously, I’m in a hotel right now. I’ve been going through a really tough time in my marriage, which was none of anyone’s f—–g business, but he’s made it everyone’s business,” Furlan said in her TikTok post, referring to Radke.

According to the 38-year-old, she previously received messages from someone she believed was Radke at the time. Then the Snapchat user “started trying to seduce me.” Furlan claimed she didn’t save any of the messages because she “didn’t want to be shady” and is “in a vulnerable place.”

“He says this isn’t him. That’s fine, whatever. I don’t give a f—,” said Furlan.

She also showed alleged Instagram DMs between herself and Radke before asking him to leave her alone.

“It’s a catfish, cool. I got catfished. Why are you still harassing me?” said Furlan. “Why are you sending me hundreds of messages? Why are you trolling me? I don’t give a f—. I unfollowed you. Leave me alone. That’s it.”

Furlan went on to corroborate Radke’s claim that Lee confronted him over the catfish situation.

Basically, I told my husband everything,” Furlan explained. “I said, you know, I’ve been talking to whoever I thought this was on Snapchat — he says it’s not him, cool, whatever — ‘cause I’m a good person. I mean, I’m not a good person for talking to someone while married. I’ve been going through a lot in my marriage. No excuse, whatever.”

“I come clean to my husband. My husband freaks out, messages him. That’s how this all started,” said Furlan.

On May 16, Lee acknowledged the ongoing drama in an Instagram post with a caption that read, “Who’s been catfished?”

Furlan concluded her video by asking Radke to stop discussing both her marriage and the catfish drama publicly.

“You’ve blown up my whole life on social media,” said the former Vine star. “This is embarrassing for me, embarrassing for my husband. This whole f—–g thing is embarrassing. I’ve been going through struggling with s— at home. I’m in a f—–g hotel. Like, leave us the f— alone, bro. Like, if you want people to be obsessed with you, like, I don’t know, get another f—–g hobby, dude. This is just some serious narcissist s—. I’m done. Anyone can think of it what they will. All good.”

Furlan’s video was also captioned, “I’ve had enough. He’s been harassing me for two weeks. He’s been sent three cease and desists and has not listened. For the final time – Leave me alone Ronnie.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Lee, Furlan and Radke for comment.

Radke has been adamant that it was a catfish, not him, who was messaging Furlan. He claimed that “the only reason” he went public was because Lee “will not stop yelling at me and stuff.”

“Imagine you grow up looking up to somebody like Tommy Lee, and then all of a sudden out of nowhere he goes, ‘You’re f—–g my wife,’” said Radke. “And I’m like, ‘What? I have no idea what you’re talking about.’”

Posts by Radke and Furlan indicated that lawyers are involved on both sides.

“I have to clear this up for the final time because Brittany seems to keep posting, implying that I’m the catfish,” said Radke in one of his videos where he attempts to clear his name.

“She thinks I’m obsessed with her, guys,” he said. “What a delusional, delusional woman… The truth always prevails.”

“Guys, I’m not here to attack anymore, but I’m just asking this woman to please stop trying to spin the narrative,” said Radke.

“I don’t care about your infidelity with your husband. That is none of my business. What I don’t stand for is you literally trying to make me the bad guy. I have done nothing wrong.”

Officials said Monday that an inspection of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City determined the load-bearing elements of the structure did not sustain any significant damage when a Mexican navy sailing ship crashed into the landmark on Saturday night, killing two people on board.

The New York City Department of Transportation announced the discovery in a post on X just before the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) held a press conference regarding its investigation into the tragic incident.

“This morning, Commissioner Rodriguez surveyed the Brooklyn Bridge following the weekend bridge strike,” the city agency said. “While inspections are ongoing, there are no signs of structural damage to the bridge.”

NTSB officials told reporters that its bridge team from the Office of Highway Safety is working with NYC DOT and confirmed the lack of structural damage to the bridge.

MASSIVE SAILING VESSEL COLLIDES WITH BROOKLYN BRIDGE IN DRAMATIC NYC CRASH CAUGHT ON CAMERA

“They have affirmed at this point that there is no significant structural damage to the load-bearing elements of the bridge,” NTSB Board Member Michael Graham said. “There is some damage on one of the travelers, which they use to access and survey the bridge at this point. But nothing structural from the bridge… is an issue at this plan.”

NTSB Investigator Brian Young told reporters that, based on preliminary navigational data, the Mexican navy tall ship Cuauhtémoc arrived in New York City on May 13 at about noon and docked port side at pier 17. The vessel remained docked for about four days, before pushing away from the dock at about 8:20 p.m. on May 17, with the assistance of a tugboat.

“The intent was to sail south down the East River and head for sea,” Young said.

The preliminary investigation looked at weather data, which showed westerly winds of about 10 knots, along with a current running toward the bridge at about 0.3 knots.

NTSB SAYS LACK OF ‘VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT’ BY MARYLAND OFFICIALS PRECEDED DEADLY KEY BRIDGE COLLAPSE

The vessel’s speed increased to about 6 knots, and at 8:24, a VHF radio broadcast was sounded requesting assistance from other tugboats in the area of the Brooklyn Bridge, he continued.

“That was followed by two other requests for assistance, and at 8:24:45, the vessel’s mast struck the underside of the Brooklyn Bridge,” Young said. “At 8:27, the vessel came to a stop, and at 8:30, both NYPD and FDNY assets were on the scene.”

The members of the NTSB arrived in New York City on Sunday, and Monday was the first day crews were able to start investigating the incident.

Graham said the team is there to gather perishable evidence, which will take as many days as needed.

NTSB LAUNCHES ‘GO-TEAM’ OF SPECIALIZED INVESTIGATORS AFTER BROOKLYN BRIDGE STRUCK BY MEXICAN NAVY SHIP

He also said this was the start of a long process, telling reporters that investigations can take between 12 and 24 months.

Within 30 days, Graham and his team will provide a preliminary report, but throughout the process, he stressed, the team will not draw conclusions, speculate, or determine probable cause while on the scene.

The investigation will involve looking at the crew and the operation of the crew, the vessel and its condition, and nautical elements like weather, wind and tide.

On Monday morning, various teams were set up by the NTSB to look into nautical operations, marine engineering, bridge engineering, survival factors and recorders.

Young told reporters that the team did not know whether the ship had a recorder, like a black box, on board.

CREW ON MEXICAN NAVY TALL SHIP SEEN CLINGING TO RIGGING AFTER COLLISION WITH BROOKLYN BRIDGE, VIDEO SHOWS

“Our recorders group, once getting aboard the vessel, will make a full assessment of any recording devices, and we will capture that information and retrieve it,” he said.

One reporter asked Graham and Young about preliminary information released by the NYPD, suggesting there was a power outage that may have led to the ship’s collision with the bridge.

“We don’t know where they got that data from,” Graham said. “Brian has told us already we haven’t even had a chance to access the engine, so, we don’t know that. We haven’t had a chance to look to see if there’s any recorded data or anything like that. So, we’re not sure where they got that from, but that will be part of the investigation, too. If somebody has information like that, where did they get it from? We don’t know at this point.”

NTSB investigators will speak with witnesses, crew members, tugboat operators and others to help get a full picture of what caused the ship to crash on Saturday night. They will also look for surveillance cameras in the area to help piece together the puzzle.

Still, Graham reiterated that all information provided to reporters during the press conference was preliminary and subject to change throughout the investigation.

He encouraged anyone with video of the incident on their phones to reach out to witness@ntsb.gov to notify investigators of the video. The NTSB will then provide a link where the video can be uploaded.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., agreed with comedians Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh on Monday, who argued that the Democratic Party has completely robbed their constituents of the democratic process and that the party is a threat to democracy.

“Over the last four elections, Democrats, we felt that we didn’t have a say on who could be president,” Schulz said on his “Flagrant” podcast. “We talk a lot about the Republicans being autocrats and oligarchs and taking over democracy. But from the Democrat perspective, and I’m a lifelong Democrat, I felt like the Democratic Party completely removed the democratic process from its constituents. And I think they need to have some accountability of that.”

The progressive senator agreed, adding, “no argument here.”

The Vermont senator has been touring the country with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., for their “Fighting Oligarchy” tour that’s drawn large crowds.

CONSERVATIVES MOCK DEM RHETORIC ABOUT ‘OLIGARCHY’ AS NYC LIVING ROOM PIC OF ALEX SOROS AND ABEDIN GOES VIRAL

Schulz said he felt the party stole the nomination from Sanders in 2016, when he narrowly lost the Democratic primary to establishment favorite Hillary Clinton, who went on to lose to Donald Trump.

“And I’ll be honest, it broke my heart when you supported them,” Schulz told Sanders.

“In the world that I live in, you’ve got a choice. And I know a lot of people, including my wife, agree with you, but you’re down to a choice,” Sanders said. “Is it going to be Hillary Clinton? Or is it going to be Donald Trump? Not a great choice.”

Singh posed another question to Sanders about the Democratic Party being a threat to democracy.

“Could we not also say, ostensibly, there hasn’t been a fair primary for the Democrats since 2008, are they not also a threat to democracy?” he asked.

President Donald Trump spoke candidly about former President Joe Biden’s recent prostate cancer diagnosis on Monday, expressing sympathy while also suggesting that the situation should be investigated.

Biden’s team announced the diagnosis on Sunday afternoon, saying the former statesman “was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms.”

“On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement added.

“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” Biden’s team concluded. “The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

‘SMALL NODULE’ FOUND IN BIDEN’S PROSTATE DURING ROUTINE EXAM, SPOKESPERSON SAYS

Speaking to reporters on Monday afternoon, Trump called the news “very sad, actually.”

“I’m surprised that … you know, the public wasn’t notified a long time ago because to get to stage nine (sic), that’s a long time,” Trump said. “I just had my physical. … We had the doctors at the White House and over at Walter Reed, which is a fantastic hospital. I did a very complete physical, including cognitive tests.”

Trump also referenced Biden’s cognitive decline during his presidency, stating that “anybody running for president should take a cognitive test.”

“They say it’s unconstitutional. But I would say in that particular case, having a cognitive test wouldn’t be so bad,” the Republican said.

Trump also posited that the public “wasn’t informed” about Biden’s medical situation and suggested that the situation should be investigated.

OBAMA REACTS TO BIDEN CANCER DIAGNOSIS

“I think somebody is going to have to speak to his doctor if it’s the same, or even if it’s two separate doctors,” Trump said. “Why wasn’t the cognitive ability, why wasn’t that discussed? And I think the doctor said he’s just fine. And it’s turned out that’s not so. It’s very dangerous.”

The president concluded by saying the cancer diagnosis is “a very, very sad situation and I feel very badly about it.”

“I think people should try and find out what happened, because I’ll tell you … I don’t know if it had anything to do with the hospital,” Trump added. “Walter Reed is really good. There’s some of the best doctors I’ve ever seen.”

“Somebody is not telling the facts,” he concluded. “It’s a big problem.”

News of Biden’s aggressive cancer diagnosis shocked the country over the weekend. After receiving bipartisan messages of sympathy, the 82-year-old thanked his supporters on social media on Monday.

“Cancer touches us all,” Biden wrote on X. “Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the Pentagon is working to stay ahead in modern warfare amid drone and artificial intelligence advancements on the battlefield.

Hegseth, a former “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host, sat down with “The Will Cain Show” Monday at the Pentagon, where he laid out the Trump administration’s posture toward China amid an arms race with the communist country and adversaries like Russia and Iran.

“We concede nothing to the communist Chinese. We’re creating dilemmas for them at every level,” he said.

The Pentagon boss added that the White House is invested in the ongoing wars in Gaza and Ukraine but is shifting its attention to countering China in the Indo-Pacific, a move reflected in Hegseth’s first overseas trip to Hawaii, Guam, the Philippines and Japan.

PENTAGON LOSING CUTTING EDGE ON WEAPONS INNOVATION, NEEDS ‘MASSIVE KICK IN THE PANTS,’ SAY DEFENSE LEADERS

China has made significant advancements in drone production, with reports that the country is preparing to launch a new drone-carrying mothership capable of releasing up to 100 smaller drones at a time.

Chinese technology company DJI touts itself as the world’s leading manufacturer of consumer and commercial drones and has a hefty presence in U.S. and Asian markets.

Craig Singleton, a senior China fellow at the non-partisan Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told Fox News Digital that the Shenzhen-based company dominates the global drone market, controlling more than 70% of the worldwide market share.

“That’s alarming, because DJI drones are essentially data collectors for Beijing — giving China potential access to sensitive infrastructure imagery, flight patterns, and more. It’s not just a market-share problem — it’s a national security threat,” he said.

CHINA LAUNCHES LARGE MILITARY DRILLS AROUND TAIWAN TO ISSUE ‘SEVERE WARNING’

Hegseth told Fox News host Will Cain that the Pentagon understands the motives and capabilities of the Chinese government and wants to build up a U.S. military that’s capable of deterring any future conflict between the two nations.

“We don’t want that conflict. You showed how big they are,” he said, referring to a graphic that compares and contrasts the United States’ active personnel, warships and nuclear weapons to China’s.

“President Trump has a great relationship with Xi Jinping — we think that’s a good thing. And we stared them down on trade — we think that’s a good thing. Rebalancing that dynamic is important. We’re the ones in the background trying to say we would always prefer to resolve this peacefully. But we’re gonna do that by being as strong as possible to meet their threat at every turn.”

The United States Marine Corps established an attack drone team earlier this year to respond to the rapid development of armed first-person view (FPV) drone technology and tactics, offering a glimpse into the evolving landscape of modern warfare and how future battles could be fought.

The Marine Corps Attack Drone Team will be based at the Weapons Training Battalion, Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia.

The FPV drones used will offer squad-level lethality at a range of up to 20 kilometers, nearly 12.5 miles, for under $5,000, compared to more expensive weapons systems with less capability, according to a press release from the service.

White House’s visitor logs reveal that many of the top Democratic leaders who most vocally defended former President Joe Biden’s leadership capabilities were frequent White House visitors and were thus presumably aware of Biden’s worsening cognitive decline.

National Republican Congressional Committee spokesperson Mike Marinella slammed Democratic leadership for participating in what he called a “cover-up” and the “political scandal of the century.”

This comes as the 82-year-old former president’s condition is once again making headlines, courtesy of excerpts from a new book being released this week, “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” which offers claims of a White House cover-up of the then-president’s apparent cognitive decline.

Additionally, last week’s leaked audio of Biden’s 2023 interview with special counsel Robert Hur, in which the then-president appears to suffer memory lapses, is also fueling the conversation.

DEMS FACE A LITMUS TEST OVER BIDEN’S COGNITIVE ABILITIES

Hur, who investigated whether Biden years earlier had improperly stored classified documents, made major headlines early last year when he decided not to charge Biden but described the then-president as an “elderly man with a poor memory.”

Visitor logs reveal that four top Democrats made a total of 63 visits to the Biden White House between 2022 and 2024.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., made 21 visits to the White House in the span of just two years, 2022 through 2024, according to official visitor logs. This means that Jeffries would presumably have been very familiar with the former president’s condition.

Despite these visits, Jeffries continued to assert that he was confident in Biden’s leadership, even saying in a 2023 interview that based on firsthand knowledge of the former president “in a high stakes circumstance,” Biden was an “incredible leader, incredible negotiator, incredible strategist, and he’s strong, brilliant, understands nuance.”

Again, Jeffries claimed that Biden was “one of the most accomplished American presidents in our history, and he has the vision, I believe, the ability, the capacity and the track record to make a case to the American people that will result in us being successful in November.”

Jeffries insisted as late as February that Biden was “the strongest candidate to defeat Donald Trump.”

The last several documented visits Jeffries made were shortly before Biden’s disastrous debate with President Donald Trump. Biden’s shockingly poor performance at this debate led to calls for him to step down, ultimately leading to his dropping out of the 2024 presidential race.

In addition to Jeffries, several other top Democrats were also frequent White House visitors, including House Democratic Whip Katherine Clark, D-Mass., as well as Reps. Pete Aguilar, D-Calif., and Suzan DelBene, D-Wash.

Amid the Democratic turmoil in the wake of Biden’s poor debate performance, DelBene, who made five visits to the White House between 2022 and 2024, expressed continued support for Biden, saying: “The stakes are incredibly high this election, for all of us. That hasn’t changed after last week.”

“The choice this November is crystal clear,” said DelBene. “Democrats who want to govern responsibly versus extremist Republicans obsessed with tax breaks for billionaires, rolling back reproductive freedom, and defending Trump’s attacks on our democracy.”

Aguilar, who made 10 documented visits to the White House in the span of two years, continued to defend Biden even after the debate, saying in a July 9 press conference that “right now President Biden is the nominee, and we support the Democratic nominee.”

Meanwhile, Clark, who made 27 visits to the White House between 2022 and 2024 and was among Biden’s most vocal supporters up until his poor debate performance, refrained from taking a strong stance on whether Biden should remain in the race, saying, “The decision is up to the president.”

After Biden announced he was dropping out of the race, Clark praised the former president, saying that “around the globe, he is admired for his steady, experienced leadership — always honoring America’s crucial role as a facilitator of peace, democracy, and human rights.”

FORMER PRESIDENT ISSUES FIRST PUBLIC COMMENTS SINCE PROSTATE CANCER DIAGNOSIS

Jeffries, Clark, Aguilar and DelBene did not respond to Fox News Digital’s requests for comment.

Marinella commented that “while Americans were asking questions, Democrat leaders lied to their faces and worked overtime to cover up the political scandal of the century.”

Marinella told Fox News Digital that “voters will never forget their disgusting deception.”
